Buhari And Northern Elders Orders Nnamdi Kanu To Be Assassinated

Reliable information reaching Biafra writers desk have it that the life of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra is at stake now!!!

In a telephone conversation with an inside source who happens to be an army officer, it was disclosed that the blood thirsty dictator in chief of the islamic republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari after an emergency meeting with the Northern elders today, in agreement with governor Rochas Okorocha, Willie Obiano and other saboteurs in Biafra land has given an express order for Nnamdi Kanu to be eliminated between tonight and 7am tomorrow morning, alongside the other Biafrans in various prisons.

They also demanded for the head of the deputy senate president who they consider a sympathizer of IPOB, Ike Ekweremadu, governor Nyesom Wike and Asari Dokubo as well. They vowed that they are ready to declare war upon Biafrans if it worse comes to worst.

The North Will Not Leave Lagos For Yorubas If Nigeria Breaks

From the recent statement made by the emir of Kano that Nigeria needs Lagos more than the Niger Delta, it is becoming clearer that the north will not let go of Lagos like that if Nigeria breaks.

I can understand why Yorubas get so uneasy when the talk of breaking Nigeria comes up.

There will be fierce battles for the control of Lagos which would leave the city in ruins like Syria.

The northerners have threatened that they will take Ofa in addition to Ilorin now they also need Lagos.

I will not be surprised if one prominent northerners gets up tomorrow to warn Yorubas that the north will take Lagos with them should Nigeria break.

The Umale Festival Of The Ilaje And Itsekiri People

by ogunyinka taiwo: 11:53am On Dec 14 As part of my agenda in exposing the culture of my people(Ilaje , Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijo e.tc) to the world, today we will be discussing about The Umale festival of the Itsekiri and Ilaje people. Its no longer news that the Ilaje share so many things with The Itsekiri nation, Be it language, Culture, Monarchy e.tc as such I do classify The Ilaje as an Itsekiri Offspring (Disputable) grin .. Here we go..

Umale Okere - Itsekiri

People living in the ancient town of Warri often looked with nostalgia to the season of Awankere, also called Umale Okere, an annual masquerade festival with epicentre of the celebration at Okere main square. It’s a mix of culture, tradition, dancing and humour. Umale Okere is virtually the most popular Itsekiri festival in Warri with so much social fun and excitement, attracting indigenes and non-indigenes alike beyond ethnic divide. Visitors and residents of Warri, including eminent personalities from all walks of life converge at Okere to watch the festival.

People – young and old, including children, line up on both sides of the expansive Okere Road from Esisi junction to the centre point, a massive crowd, jostling curiously to catch a glimpse of the masquerades, men and women dancing to the traditional drum beats with amidst sexy, obscene remarks by women and tantalizing songs, emotional and romantic.

The elegance and beauty of the festival, graced by the masquerades in attires almost akin to the costume and apparels worn by Eyo masquerades in Lagos during Adamorisha festival are amazing.

The origin of Umale Okere festival dates back to pre- independence years in the era of British colonialism. It emanated from Ekpen family, owners of Okere that married a woman called Diden who hailed from the neighbouring Ekurede, the place where the palace of the Olu of Warri is located. An Ekurede woman married to Ekpen family of Okere. The masquerades are customary acknowledgement of the marital ties between the two.

The leader of the masquerades is called Ă–shogwa Umale”with several bodyguards while the others filed out in a single line for seven market days of Okere till the last day. At the rear of the masquerades is “Okwooye”, wearing a big hat and holding a whip, dressed in baggy attire touching the ground due to oversize.

The mother of them all, referred to as Queen, is called “Eleghe”, very gentle, majestic and moves in measured steps, walking on red carpet. It is rarely seen in public – once in 50 years. Many people see Eleghe only once in their life time. Its public appearance is now reduced to 25 years.

According to Erikowa who lived in Ekurede, since 1956, Eleghe came out twice. For the masquerades, after their appearance on the seventh market day, they go back to the shrine known as “Ekun”, opening their faces on the way.

Women come out to seek their blessings and favour for children, to strike out failures and curses from their lives, to seek success in life. On the last day also, everyone comes to appeal to the Umales as they return to the shrine to cast away their misfortunes and problems, bring prosperity, give them long life, take away sickness, troubles and not to have afflictions in life again.

Umale Festival - Ilaje People

UMALE Aju is the anscestral masked dancer of the Jomoyetoyo royal family of [ Odojomo, Igbotako, Osooro] Ilaje, Ondo State in Nigeria. The dancers represent anscestral spirit, the costumes are carved headress in the shape of water fowls or masks with colorfull fabrics covering the body.

Dasuki Lists Ex-governors, PDP Chiefs In $2b Deals

 by ogunyinka taiwo: 2:13pm
FORMER National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki has made some “mind-boggling” revelations on the $2billion “phoney” arms contracts, a source said yesterday.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and a Federal Government committee are probing how huge sums of money meant for procurement of arms went down the drain during the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan administration.

An interim report indicates that about $2billion may have been disbursed for inexplicable reasons.

Dasuki was arrested on Tuesday by the Department of State Services (DSS). He was transferred to the EFCC.

An EFCC source said: “When Dasuki was brought in, he initially refused to write any statement, alleging that he had been subjected to media trial.

“I think the ex-NSA decided not to open up based on the advice of his lawyers that he should leave everything for the open court.

“The EFCC operatives, however, obliged Dasuki a copy of the statement by a former Director of Finance in the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Shaibu Salisu in which the latter made some implicating statements.

“Dasuki, who was shocked by Salisu’s confessions, repeatedly asked: ‘You mean Salisu wrote all these! You mean he said these! Give me a pen and paper’.

“Thereafter, Dasuki decided to open a can of worms. He gave a long list of PDP chieftains who collected money from the Office of the NSA.

“He mentioned the names of a former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, ex-governors and ex-ministers and many others.

“As I am talking to you, Dasuki is still writing his statement. The disclosures of the ex-Director of Finance in ONSA have assisted greatly in getting to the bottom of the armsgate.

“So, the investigation is still on. We will certainly arrest more suspects soon.”

There were indications that the anti-graft commission may extend its probe to the seizure of $9million cash by South Africa and quiz all those involved in the botched deal.

An Israeli suspect implicated in the deal is said to have bolted after throwing a lavish party at his Wuse residence.

Former Sokoto State Governor Attahiru Bafarawa, AIT Chairman Raymond Dokpesi and former Minister Bashir Yuguda were yesterday battling for bail.

It was learnt that the EFCC was planning to arraign some of the suspects in court to enable the agency keep the more than 22 suspects being interrogated in custody.

The EFCC is said to be mindful of a situation in which the high-profile suspects will rush to court to seek the enforcement of their fundamental rights and truncate the investigation.

A source, who pleaded not to be named, said many suspects had admitted collecting huge sums of money from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) when Dasuki was in charge.

Said the source: “Our investigators have isolated these areas of probe: Were the funds budgeted for? If not, what informed extra-budgetary expenses? How much was actually voted for arms procurement? How were the funds sourced? Who or which agency awarded all the contracts? Who were the contractors? Was there any evidence of delivery of equipment? What will make any Minister to run to ONSA for funds?

“These are the areas our detectives have been mandated to look at.”

On other suspects, the source explained that some of the diverted funds had been traced to a bureau de change owned by a former member of the staff of the ONSA.

“Some Bureau de Change operators were accomplices of many of these suspects in custody. We are tracking every transaction.

“On daily basis, we will keep on inviting more suspects because the syndicate has a complex networking,” the source added.

As at press time last night, Bafarawa, Dokpesi and Yuguda were still battling for bail.

A source said: “We have not released any of them because they are clearing some grey areas.”

Another source in EFCC said the agency would extend its probe to the seizure of the $9.34m cash smuggled into South Africa.

The cash was confiscated by the South Africa from an Israeli arms dealer of Cyprus-based ESD International, who acted on behalf of the Federal Government to procure arms for Nigeria.

Part of the cash was for six “civilian” helicopters from a South African company, Tier One.

The National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa recently received a court permission to return the cash to Nigeria.

Photos Of Raymond Dokpesi Leaving EFCC Detention After Securing Bail

 by ogunyinka taiwo: 2:02pm
Pictured is chairman of DAAR communications Raymond Dokpesi leaving EFCC detention with his entourage soon as he secured bail after interrogation over allegations that he partook in diversion $2.1 billion arms purchase scam.

Mr. Dokpesi was questioned by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission on Tuesday over the N2.1 billion he allegedly received from the office of the NSA. The AIT boss said the money he received from the office of the National Security Adviser during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan was payment for media and political campaign for the 2015 general election.

What I don't understand is. How can NSA pay u for election campaign of a political party. Is dasuki jonathans campaign organizer?

U received 2.1billion for just campaign. Was the campaign done globally or just within local AIT? I wonder how much dasuki will pay channels then.

During the hate campaign against buhari/tinubu, Mr dopesi discard any connection with the hate tape.

As for this arms deal. Even if my father is involved . He should go to jail.

How can u sabotage a whole country just for ur personal interest.
